Badr Benoun, Al Ahly’s defender, spoke ahead of the team’s first game in the FIFA Club World Cup on Saturday against C.F. Monterrey of Mexico.

In an exclusive interview with us, Benoun talked about his medical condition after recovering from COVID-19, wished his teammates all the best in the competition and sent a message to our fans.

Benoun will not be able to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup, as he suffered from the repercussions of COVID-19.

“I am in a good condition and I am doing very well.” 

“I was keen to be here and support my teammates. We are like a family and I wish the team all the best in the FIFA Club World Cup.”
 
“Al Ahly have many tough games in the competition as the team's first game will be against Monterrey.”

“Finally, I would like to thank Al Ahly fans for their great support. I will be back in action gradually after the FIFA Club World Cup.”
